Mice Every Where!

I recently purchased the super cute stamp set “Harvest Mouse “ from My Favorite Things and I have been waiting to create with it!  Well, I finally got the chance the other day to play and here is what I created…

First I took a cue from Jennifer McGuire great video using the same stamp set and modifying it to add other items for other themes. So I created a sweet little birthday card using the present from the “Birthday Bears” set.  The greeting is part of stamp from the “The Whole Herd” stamp set.

Then for my second card, I had some fun with the cute MFT star die, “Scattered Stars” and the “Stitched Ovals” to create my hill.  I just love the sweet little pumpkins in this set…

For both my cards today, not only did I used the MFT Sketch…

… but I also used the Color Challenge palette too!

Glittering Glass Santa

Hello all!   Happy Friday!  I hope you are all doing well.  I’m laid up on the couch with an inflamed sciatic nerve… can you say OUCHIE!?!?!  But I did manage to get up and get somewhat comfortable in my office chair and create a very quick and simple Power Poppy card for you today!

Introducing… Glittering Glass Santa! He’s our newest digital stamp set… already for you to start creating your holiday cards.

Here’s a close up… the oval is actually covered with a sheer glittery plastic covering.  I can’t remember who makes it though!

You Deserve the Very Best!

Hello fellow stamp lovers!  It’s Wednesday and it’s my turn to host the newest card sketch over at Splitcoaststampers!  I made it kind of a simple sketch this week so it can be interpreted in so many different ways.

Here’s this week’s sketch, SC559:

And here’s my card featuring the beautiful “Delicate Pretty Poppies” from My Favorite Things.

I coloured in my poppies using some Derwent Inktense Pencils and then blended them with a Artist’s Loft Colored Pencil Blender Pen.  I love that you can still kind of see the texture laid down with the coloured pencils.

Typically I would also have a little sneak peek for our weekly challenge over at StampNation too but this week the Dream Team is off and they’re all super busy getting ready for our annual World Card Making Day event.

Our WCMD weekend begins on Friday afternoon.  Come and join us at StampNation for all the fun challenges and cool prizes to win.

Come and join me this week at both StampNation and Splitcoaststampers!

World Card Making Day is Coming!

World Card Making Day is just around the corner ~ Saturday October 3rd! It is StampNation’s biggest event of the year and Catherine Pooler and the Dream Team has been working behind the scenes feverishly on preparing awesomeness for it.

When Catherine started celebrating this event, we had 12 challenges (along with videos and sample inspiration) and posted one every hour for 24 hours.

Since then, Catherine has tweaked the schedule a bit because some of our international friends weren’t able to celebrate with us during THEIR 24 hours of WCMD…sigh…that crazy time zone thing!

Randall and Catherine did some “time zone map investigating” and figured out that WCMD starts the very first place in the world when it is Friday, October 2 at 8 am Eastern time. It is 7 am Eastern when the very last place on earth says good-bye to WCMD.

So it only makes sense to stretch this baby out and celebrate all weekend long, right? So join us all weekend long at StampNation for a boat load of fun beginning Friday, October 2nd!!

Hope you'll join us!

Autumn's Just Around the Corner

Howdy all!  Happy Friday!  I’m here along with Bloom Brigade today sharing some brand new Power Poppy creations.

I’m actually featuring one of our brand new digital stamps called Olive and Oak.  This gorgeous Autumn cluster features some beautiful oak leaves and acorns along with a spring of fruiting olive branches – it’s gorgeous!
My card to features some brand new to the market papers by the new company called Paper Play Paper Company.  This line is called "Autumn Day".  This company is going to go places!!!

Here’s a little close up…

My card today is actually part of my StampNation classes during the month of September called “Color Me”.  I’m featuring 8 lessons all about different kinds of mediums in the crafting industry and one of those mediums being my favourite, Copic Markers.  Power Poppy has graciously sponsored my month long class!  Thank you Marcella!  Make sure to check more about the class right here!

It’s Kinda Sketchy Around Here!

Hey it’s Wednesday!  Today’s the day for a new challenge over at StampNation PLUS a new card sketch for Splitcoaststampers!

So today I actually have two sketches to share because at SN, we’ve partnered up with the amazing stamp and die company, My Favorite Things (MFT)!  And I have to say, MFT makes the most amazing quality stamps and the coolest dies!  They are one of my top 3 favorite stamps companies in the business!  For today's challenge and its details, visit here.

So the Dream Team all get to create with this cute little MFT sketch this week and feature all kinds of cool MFT products too!

For my sketch card today, I wanted a happy, beachy birthday card so I started with the new “Penguins in Paradise” by Birdie Brown.  So cute isn’t he?!?

Here’s a quick close up of the card.  I used a lot of fun glazes and glitters to add some shimmer to my birthday card creation.

My fellow Dream Team member, Heather North is also sharing some fun MFT card creations as well today.  Make sure to check out her blog today right HERE for more awesome MFT inspiration!

And finally, here is my sketch for today’s Splitcoast Card Sketch this week.  I wanted a sketch with a subtle type back ground that featured some kind of large greeting.
I sure hope you’ll come and play along with both sketches today! Happy creating!
