Christmas Cards Galore!

I have been creating all kinds of wintery themed cards lately. These five cards were created for the Christmas Cards All Year Round blog.

For the November challenge, you had to use 2 snowflakes, 2 buttons and 2 pieces of ribbon.

Here are my cards...

Blue & Green Snowflakes

Snowy Owl - Let It Snow

Stripes & Snowflakes

Vintage Snowflakes

Holly & Stripes

I hope they at least give you some simple ideas for making any last minute Christmas cards for your family and friends!

Thanks for stopping by!

12 Days of Christmas Cards Contest

Starting Monday Dec. 1st, Mon Ame Memories will be having a contest. As part of the DT, we have all been hard at work coming up with some very fun challenges for everyone. Each day there will be a new card challenge. They won't be difficult ones I promise you. Card challenges will be posted and you will have a certain amount of time to complete them. You will have at least 24 hrs to complete them. And it is only one card so you should be able to complete it with no problem.

After the 12 days we will draw a winner for a prize from Mon Ame Memories.

For every card you complete you will get a ticket. You must complete at least 4 card challenges to be able to win the grand prize. But of course, the more you complete the more tickets you get in the hat. If you complete all 12 of the card challenges, you will get 5 bonus tickets. The winner will be chosen by random draw.

This is a great way to get some last minute Christmas cards mailed out. And because the contest ends on the 12th of December, you will still have plenty of time to get them out in the mail in time for Christmas delivery.

We hope you will join us for this fun contest!!!

A New Scrappy Community for Me!

I am happy to announce that I have been asked to join the awesome scrappy community "A Page in Time Scrapbook" as one of their newest design team members... mainly their new sketch designer!! I am thrilled to get to work with these super creative ladies!

Their kits are extremely cool! In one kit, you get 3 different kit sets... enough paper and embellies to create 3 double page spreads with lots of scraps left over.

The three kits featured for November are stunning:

Crate Paper - Prudence

Fancy Pants Designs - Fall

Pink Paislee - Vintage Moon

They also have the option of adding matching cardstock to your kit purchase that match all the papers.

I can't wait to get to work with the December kit. I'll be sure to share it with all of you!
Happy Tuesday!

Cards... and Freebie Friday!

So with all the beautiful stamps that I received from Hero Arts the other day, I started tinkering with them a little bit.

Here are two that I created...

Winter Trees Thank You:

The trees on the stamp appear to have snow on them so I pulled out my liquid applique and filled in the bare spaces to look like snow. The texture of this card is too cool in real life!

Thanks So Much:

This card has fine glitter attached to the tree with birds and also to all the white parts of greeting circle. It's even prettier in person!

I sure hope the ladies that I sent these two cards to like them as much as I do!

NOW.... don't forget to check out the Scrapbook and Cards Today blog! We have a very cool mini album up for grabs for last Friday's "Freebie Friday" giveaway!

And I got great news from Catherine... the winter issue is coming along nicely and we'll all be able to see it soon! YIPPEE!!!

One Lucky Ducky!

I always navigate to the Hero Club Blog for Hero Arts. I visit almost everyday for their new challenges and their cool inspirational videos and examples.

I also signed up for their newsletter and became one of their Hero Club members awhile ago. Well I got an email a few weeks ago saying I had won their October monthly contest. This meant that I had a $100 to spend on ANYTHING in their catalog.

Well I checked to see if I had a package today and I did! It was all the wonderful things I had picked out of the Hero Arts catalog....

Here are all the cool things I picked out.....

You could win too! Just sign up for the Hero Club here or participate in their weekly challenges for a chance to win some awesome Hero Arts products too! I just love their stuff! Can't wait to ink 'em all up!!! Especially all the winter and Christmas themed ones!!!

Masking .... a Long Road Home

I few weeks back I bought some of the Tattered Angels new "Glimmer Masks" in both the "winter trees" shapes and winter themed shapes called "vintage ice".

I finally got a chance to use them for the first time last night on a page I created for a sketch challenge on SIS (Scrap in Style) by "GretchenMac".

I first masked the majority of the yellow border around the base of the page with some Post-it-Notes. Then I placed my tree mask on my page and lightly sprayed on my "Frost" coloured Glimmer Mist. I carefully lifted up the mask and wiped it between applications of mist. I think it actually turned out pretty good considering I created it at 11pm at night.

Supplies:
PP: Jenni Bowlin, Teresa Collins. Bling: Prima. Letters: American Crafts, Making Memories. Stamps: Sweet n'Sassy Stamps (leaf), Pine boughs (Gina K. Designs), Autumn Leaves (flourish). Ink: Ranger, Staz-On. Other: clear embossing powder, office supply store tag.

I've fallen in love.... and Blog Candy!

I discovered a newer brand of stamp company not too long ago called Sweet n' Sassy Stamps. I looked through their stamp store and fell in love with some of their new Christmas stamps. So littl' ol' me just had to add a few sets to my ever-growing stamp collection.

This is one of my favs... called "Christmas Poinsettias".

Here are a few cards I made using the set....

Well the actual designer of this gorgeous stamp set, Chris Dickinson, has a offer of BLOG CANDY on her personal blog. Why not check it out here! Good luck!

I was Tagged!!!

I was tagged by the lovely and extremely talented Julie!! Link to your tagger and list these rules on your blog:
Share SEVEN facts about yourself on your blog, some random, some weird...just 7 facts. :) Tag 7 people at the end of your post and make sure to let them know they've been tagged!

Hmmm... I wonder if I can even come up with seven things?

1. I grew SPACE tomatoes from NASA when I was in grade 8. I was one of a few Canadian students picked to grew tomato seeds and collect data on my plants and send it off to NASA.

2. I was science project geek for all of my elementary school career. I won 4 medals in 5 years of science fairs.

3. I won a scrapbooking contest last year and won $700 to spend strictly on scrappy stuff!! It was like being in heaven!!!

4. I don't like to wear make up. Yup... a girl that doesn't like to wear makeup! It makes me break out.

5. When I worked as a kitchen apprentice before going to chef's school, I made breakfast for Christopher Plummer (the father in Sound of Music).

6. I hate shopping for clothes and shoes!!! Yup... I think the last thing I bought for myself to wear was a T-shirt for Canada Day this past summer. And before that... I can't even remember!!

7. I shave my toes every few days... and my chin for that matter everyday. I have a disease called Hirsutism which causes excessive hair growth in women. I dread going to the pool just cause it takes forever to get ready to go!!!

So now you know all my secrets.... I bet these 7 ladies will share theirs with you! I tag...
